From the recording For My Good

I wrote this song inspired by several Bible scriptures and a simple belief: God is always working for our good, even when we don't understand His plan. As I've grown older, I've learned that faith isn't about getting every answer or every prayer answered the way we want. It's about trusting His timing, being thankful for His blessings, and believing He's with us through every season of life. My hope is that this song might someday be sung in churches as a reminder of His faithfulness.

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I’ve asked You for so many things
Seen some fall, seen some come true
I’ve waited in the silence
Wondered if You heard me through
But time has shaped my restless heart
You were there right from the start

[Pre-Chorus]
I don’t need to know it all
I just trust You where I am

[Chorus]
I believe You’re working for my good
Even when I don’t see how You could
You don’t waste the tears I’ve cried
You’re the God who walks my life
I won’t fear the road I’m on
You’ve been faithful all along
I believe, I believe
You’re working for my good

[Verse 2]
I prayed for answers first
Now I thank You for this life
Every door You opened wide
Every one You closed just right
I see grace in every season
Hope that grows with passing time

[Pre-Chorus]
I don’t need the end in sight
I just need Your hand in mine

[Chorus]
I believe You’re working for my good
Even when it feels misunderstood
You don’t rush and You don’t fail
You give me peace, not just the plan
I will stand and trust Your love
You’ve been faithful all along
I believe, I believe
You’re working for my good

[Bridge]
When I don’t see it
When I don’t feel it
You are moving right now
Every moment
Every heartache
You are faithful somehow

[Final Chorus]
I believe You’re working for my good
Through every season like You said You would
Your timing’s perfect, Your ways are true
You’re always giving what I need, not what I choose
I will trust You where I stand
With my future in Your hands
I believe, I believe
You’re working for my good

[Outro]
I believe
You’re working for my good
