The Stories Behind the Songs

I'm John Scannell, a songwriter who believes every song has a story worth telling.

My songs are inspired by family, friendship, faith, love, loss, and the lessons life teaches us along the way. Some are personal stories, while others are inspired by the people I've known and the moments that have stayed with me.

I don't consider myself a recording artist. I'm a storyteller who uses songwriting to capture the experiences, emotions, and memories that connect us.

I write the stories and lyrics, then use Suno and today's music technology to bring those words to life. The recordings you hear are musical interpretations of my original songs, created so others can experience the stories behind them.

My hope is simple: that someone listening will recognize a little of their own life in something I've written.
